Report: EU prepares to work on new Russia sanctions

MOSCOW, Oct 23 (PRIME) -- The E.U. plans to start consultations on the 12th package of anti-Russian sanctions in a few coming days, Bloomberg newswire reported late on October 20 citing sources familiar with the matter.

The sources said that sanctions can include a ban on Russian diamonds and new measures against bypassing the existing restrictions.

Also, the E.U. is expected to expand the list of banned exports because Moscow could use them for military purposes, Bloomberg reported.
